What are Men Really Looking for in a Woman – The Results May Surprise You
So what are men really looking for these days when it comes to women?
Well according to the What men really want from women report that was presented at the Australian Market and Social Research Conference in Sydney, the way to a man’s heart, nay, desire to a man’s heart, is to be a “good sort” who is loving and supportive, down to earth with an attractive smile and eyes and an adventurous spirit.
Does it sound like they’re after the complete package these days? The answer is yes, considering the report also goes on to say that men today are highly attracted to nice breasts and a cute backside – but I don’t really think this is ground breaking research when it comes to that particular fact.
So what can women trying to find their soul mate take from the report? Whether men are willing to admit it out loud or not, in 2011 men are wanting women with sex appeal.
The study polled 3000 single and attached men and the author of the report Derek Jones went on to say that the results from the survey suggested blokes felt stuck in a politically correct straitjacket that stopped them from speaking their minds, i.e. this is what Australian men are wanting, just not willing to admit.
Until now.
The report wasn’t all about men’s unwillingness to admit bedroom chemistry and a cute backside and breasts was important to them in women however– it also went on to say that they valued traits such as togetherness, honesty, respect, a sense of humour and a best friend.
With Australia being such a huge country however and having unfair ratios of men to women in many cities these days where does that leave men to find the women that they’re looking for? The answer seems to be found online, with over 1.5 million online dating accounts in Australia with that number growing every year.
Online dating services in Australia are becoming more and more popular and one reason for the growth could be down to Australians becoming sick of relying on friends, family or boozy nights at the pub to find the men and women they’re looking for.
It seems when some Perth men were surveyed about what they were looking for in a woman the results didn’t differ greatly from the report – Good looks, warm personality and intelligence all seemed to rank high for what men look for in a woman. So where might Perth men find such women?
The answer is simple. Online dating in Perth. As the average Australian bloke is working harder and longer hours, finding the perfect mate is becoming more difficult. Online dating in Perth however seems to be hitting the right chord with many as they can refine their search to exactly what they’re looking for.
